QUICK NOTE
I just wanted to send all of you faithful readers a quick note. My apologies for not having any captions or such to go with my spring break pictures, but I just wanted to let you know that they are coming. I plan on getting my Edinburgh pictures upload sometimes this week, after which I will add captions and such to them all so that you will have a more clear picture of where I went, what I did, and my overall experience in those places. Thanks for your patience!

SPRING BREAK-LYON
La Tourette- monastery by Le Corbusier in the hills of France.
In Lyon I was with my studio class from UCD. Lyon is the second largest city in France (behind Paris). It was part of the course so the tutors (professors) were there as well and we spent our time studying the architecture. We saw a lot of buildings including some of Le Corbusier's work (who was a modernist architect). I definitely wasn't a fan at first but the more I learn the more respect I have for his work. It was a good time of studying, exploring, sketching and getting to know my classmates.

The entrance to the monastery. He uses a lot of primary colors in his designs.

The windows were one of my favorite parts. This is the view from the dining hall down the hill...breathe-taking view!
The view :)
View of one the main rivers in Lyon. This part of the city is lovely and referred to as "Old Lyon".

Loved this fountain in that square. It had so much life and energy.

Typical small street in Old Lyon.
This was definitely one of the best meals I had the whole trip. It was a fish pasta and thai chicken I think. We also got desert and shared so we could try them all. So good!
